Mac privacy policy

Learn how Tracy Talk for Mac handles your reference documents, questions, audio, and connections to other services.

Updated November 6, 2026

Your content and selected services

Your reference library, settings, saved transcripts, speaking cues and review notes are stored locally. Raw audio is not added to the conversation archive. Generating cues sends your question, recent conversation and relevant reference excerpts to the answer service you explicitly authorize. Speech recognition uses the service selected separately; Apple Speech can use online processing unless on-device-only is selected and supported. Computer audio and microphone use require their respective macOS permissions. Screen images are not sent to answer or speech providers.

Credentials and optional connections

Desktop API credentials are protected with macOS Keychain-backed encryption. Supported account sign-ins are stored locally by their connection component. If you choose to install an optional connection component, it downloads only at your request from its official distribution source. No analytics or automatic update service is included.

Your controls and deletion

You can delete saved reviews and local reference files, remove stored keys or sign out in Settings. Exports contain content, not credentials. Deleting local content does not retract anything already sent to your chosen provider; consult its data-retention and billing policies.
